How’s my fundraising?
Like every good swot, we love to get our grades back. With that in mind, we’d like to show you some of the report cards we’ve received from people we’ve met on the street in the last year. We admit it’s a selection of some of the best, but they’re all the genuine article, submitted by helpful supporters, frank passers by, and well-meaning vigilante groups:
Hi, I was stopped by a young gentleman called Alf Cowan when I was on a business trip to Manchester. I just wanted to say that I’m impressed with how you select and train your staff in this job as I know it can be very difficult job to undertake (stopping and engaging with strangers about meaningful topics). Alf was a very pleasant chap and I would like to pass on my thanks to him. I had a very long day myself in meetings and he brought a smile to my face.
I just wanted to report that I was approached by Tom Winterburn in Stockport on Wednesday 2nd July. His manner was warm and positive and he was extremely polite and enthusiastic, a credit to the younger generation. After the encounter other members of his group made me feel very good about what I had done and they clearly worked well together.
Hi there, just emailing to say I filled out a form to donate money each month and spoke to a very nice lad in Burnley call Danny Hall, it was only because of his lovely smile that I stopped as I was in a rush, he explained everything very clearly to me and smiled all the way thru, I give him 110% for his work and he certainly brightened up my day, he is a credit to your company.
